What I’m Listening to: Stay the Fuck at Home
I hope this finds you, and all those whom you love, well and safe.
Like many of you, I have been in home lockdown. In my case, I’ve been in the house since March 20, only leaving twice.
Unlike many people, I used to work at home (as publishing services provider for 20 years), and I liked it. It was actually harder for me to be out and “people-ing” in the last 2 years. I found the last week of work extremely stressful, as so many people, for whatever reason, would not stay safe from others.
Both my husband and I are well., and I am not stressed out by staying home. But I will admit I am having a hell of a time writing (I’ve started a whole new book). It’s not clear to me why this is so, but it is. Rather than beat myself up about it, or pretend to be interested in cleaning my closets (because, erm, nope), I am doing small tasks around the house, or just enjoying playing solitaire or backgammon. And social media. Lots of Facebook and Twitter!
