THE MIDSUMMER WIFE Moves to Production

What I’m listening to: “Into the West” by Annie Lennox

Some updates from the land of writing:

Just sent off the manuscript for THE MIDSUMMER WIFE (Book 1 of the Heirs to Camelot) to my editor at Vagabondage Press. They are still projecting a February/March 2018 release.

I’ll be working with Vagabondage to relaunch the prequel historical fantasy novellas (as a group called THE BOOK OF ANYA). Keep an eye on this space for give-away announcements next month!

Got a terrific blurb from author Lisa Jensen (ALIAS HOOK Thomas Dunne Books  (if you want an adult take on Peter Pan, you must read this!))

Sex, magic, and power collide in this epic fantasy that begins when a devastating terrorist attack on modern London sparks the long-foretold return of King Arthur to heal Britain. Simonds boldly continues the Arthurian saga into the present day, as heirs to Arthur, Merlin, and the woman both men once loved struggle to understand and fulfill their destinies and outwit the sinister agenda of the sorceress Morgaine.

[Fun Fact: My company, Beagle Bay Books, published Lisa’s YA/M pirate book THE WITCH FROM THE SEA back in 2001. It was our first book by someone else. Little did I know how lucky I was to get a) such a great manuscript right out of the box and b) get such a great author!]

I finished the rough draft of THE SOLSTICE BRIDE (Book 2 of the Heirs to Camelot) which is a dystopian paranormal. I’m happy with parts of it, but it needs a LOT of work.

I’ve started the outline and first chapters of MISTRESS OF THE ROSE MOON (Book 3). Unlike the first two books, this will be a third-person/past-tense perspective (the previous two are first person/present) as I am dealing with multiple players. Hint: it’s a Quest!

So, busy, busy! I can’t wait to launch THE MIDSUMMER WIFE and her sisters!
